Growth began as a group project between Emily Haltom, Grayson Fullwood, and myself. When speaking about homeless shelters in Charlotte, there is only one place that comes to mind for most people; the Salvation Army. However, they cannot house every homeless person in Charlotte. Many other shelters can also be helpful to other people, but they have been forgotten and are very hard to find.
We have collected all the homeless shelters in the Charlotte area as well as some financial information and tips so homeless people can have a starting point for changing their financial situation. The goal of this website was to make it as simple as possible for people to read through the information without being overwhelmed like many of us are when looking through financial websites, taking into consideration that many of these people still lack certain levels of education.
